Product Safety Recall – Charger for Ultra-Light Cordless Leaf Blower
Brilliant Aussies (OZ SupplyZ Pty Ltd) is conducting a product safety recall of the AC/DC power supply and charger supplied with the battery-powered ultra-light cordless leaf blower (Model 220).
Reason the product is recalled
The charger does not meet Australian electrical safety requirements as the plug pins are uninsulated and it does not have the required Australian Regulatory Compliance Mark.
The hazards to consumers
Risk of serious injury or death from electric shock from uninsulated plug pins. Risk of property damage if the product catches fire.
Incidents have occurred.
The ultra-light cordless leaf blower unit itself is not affected. This recall relates to the AC/DC charger only.
What consumers should do
• Stop using the charger immediately and unplug it from the power outlet.
• Contact Brilliant Aussies to register for a free replacement with a compliant AC/DC charger and instructions on how to safely dispose of the recalled AC/DC charger.
